BIO
Brooke Richard (b. 1991) is a Maine and New Hampshire based artist. She graduated from Plymouth State University in 2014 and received her BA in Painting and a Minor in Art History. She grew up around a mother, grandmother and aunts who were and are strong female creative role models that provided great insight into the vital tools of art. She has a passion for New England having lived in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine with family roots from both New England and Trois Rivieres, Canada. She has hiked all of New Hampshire’s 4000ft+ peaks and is an avid explorer of the outdoors. She is often found pitching a new idea of adventure to her husband Zac that typically involves sleeping in the back of their built-out truck cab or their newly acquired van somewhere along the coast or in the mountains.
Brooke has shown work in galleries based in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Mexico and Miami, Florida. In 2015 she had a month-long residency in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico and in 2019 she curated a two person group show at the non-profit 3S Art Space in Portsmouth NH, combined with an opening night and fundraiser event for the Hampton Skatepark.

Her plans are to one day launch a club, an ‘Outdoor Art Club,’ to create a place for the synonymous union of outdoor non-traditional sports and the practice of art.
